Much Marcle St Bartholomew
Burgums of the "FF" family tree were baptised, married and buried here.
MUCH MARCLE ST BARTHOLOMEW has a 13th century nave with a south porch, a chancel, a small 14th century chapel and a grand central tower dated around the 1400's. The church was restored between 1876 and 1878. It also contains important historical carved monuments. In the grave yard is a yew tree, now hollow inside, thought to be about 1500 years old, or perhaps more.
