TAMESIDE CEMETERIES AND CREMATORIUMS, There are 8 cemeteries in the Borough of Tameside, but only three of them are relevant to the Burgum family. These are -

Ashton Cemetery also known as Ashton (Hurst) Cemetery, which is in Kings Road, Tameside. It was opened in 1891.

Dukinfield Cemetery in Hall Green Road, Dukinfield, where the crematorium is also situated. It was opened in 1866.

Hyde Cemetery, which is in Stockport Road, Hyde, was opened in 1894.

NOTES:-
A "Direct Burial" is where a body is buried in the days after death without a funeral service or graveside service.

A "committal" is where words are spoken at the moment the coffin is lowered into the ground or, at a crematorium, as the coffin disappears from view.
