| BILLINGHAM ST CUTHBERT CHURCH in the district of Stockton on Tees has a 10th century tower, which had another top added to it in the 14th century. The nave was thought to be 9th century, but the north aisle and clerestory were certainly added in the late 1100's. The south aisle was added in the 1200's and the clerestory in the late 1300's, probably when the top was added to the battlemented tower. The tower and nave have course rubble masonry. The chancel was rebuilt in 1939.
