BEDWELLTY ST SANNAN was built in a Gothic style during the 13th century. It has a nave, chancel, north aisle and south porchThe integral western tower was added in the 14th century and has six bells. The church underwent restoration in 1858 and was extensively repaired in 1882. The exterior is attractively whitewashed. One of its' features is an iron gravestone from around the 1770's, now mounted in the south wall. Iron gravestones or grave coverings are to be found at several iron industrial areas in Wales, the Forest of Dean and elsewhere.
