WEST BROMWICH CHRIST CHURCH was begun in about 1820 to suppliment the older All saints Church. Unfortunately the builder went bankrupt in 1822 and the church was not consecrated until 1829. The living began as a perpetual curacy, but became a vicarage in 1868. Several other churches, include one at Greets Green grew out of the demands of population growth.
Christ Church was built of brick cased in Tixall stone in a Gothic style. The inside is a single large space wite a narrow chancel at the eastern end. There are a north and south aisles, galleries on three sides and a west tower with pinnacles. These were restored in 1882.
The church suffered significant damage following mining subsidence and was restored in 1858. Further subsidence led to another restoration in 1876. Christ Church was destroyed by a fire on 23 October 1979.

WEST BROMWICH ALL SAINTS CHURCH was built in about 1085, with restoration occuring in the 1400's. It was then known as the Church of St Clement. A tower was added in the 14th century.
A record shows that the church was re-dedicated to All Saints in 1742. However by 1786 it was described as 'much dilapidated and in want of repair'. The repairs and renovations were completed in 1787.
The current church underwent a rebuild in 1871, although the tower was retained.
