STAUNTON ALL SAINTS is a late Norman church, dating from 1144, which has had numerous additions during the medieval period and the early nineteenth century. It has a five-bay nave, a chancel, south transept and north and south aisles, a gabled south porch and a central bell tower with clock and six bells. The tower is 12th century, but was added to in the 15th century. The roof is stone slate. The church yard includes the grave of David Mushet, the metallurgist of Coleford, whose experiements revolutionised the steel industry.
