East Palestine - Mre Elizabeth Burgham died suddenly Monday afternoon at 2,45 at home after she was stricken ill while canning tomatoes. She was 75.
A daughter of Mr + Mrs William Hopkins, she was born at Sewickley, Pa, March 19, 1881. In 1903 she was married at Lison to Jesse O. Burgham, and thet resided at Monaca for a year before moving here. They lived here about 50 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, she is susurvived by a daughter, Mrs Lillian MacKinnon at home; two sisters, Mrs Julia West of Aliquippa, and Mrs Lyla Hackler of Canton, and four brothers, Oliver Hopkins, of Sewickley, William Hopkins of Aliquippa, David Hopkins of Fair Oaks, Pa, and Walter Hopkins of Ambridge.
Services will be held at 1.30 EST at the Oliver Funeral Home by the Rev. Herbert Massey of the Methodist Church and the Rev L.W. Bain of the Church of Christ. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home. (The Evening review, East London, Ohio, 02 Oct 1956)
