Funeral services for George Burgum, founder of the Burgum Printing Co. and leader in district Masonary, will be held in his home, 4387 Stanton Ave, at 2.30pm tomorrow.
Mr Burgum died Friday in West Penn Hospital after a short illness. He was 75. Born in England, Mr Burgum came to this country with his parents in 1882 and settled in the 10th Ward here. After attending public schools he became a journeyman printer and established the Burgum Printing Co. at 405 Penn Ave.
He was an active member of Emory Methodist Church, a 32nd degree Mason holding a meritorious award, an officer in Franklin Lodge No. 221, F. & A. M.; Duquesne Chapter No 193, R. A. M.; Mt Moriah Council No 193, R. & S. M; Pittsburgh Comandery No 1, Knights Templar, and a member of Ancient Order Nobles Mystic Shrine and Arsenal Lodge No. 460, I.O.O.F.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Caroline Jones Burgum,; a son Henry H. Burgum, a siister, Mrs Elizabeth Fichter, Jermyn, Pa. and one grandchild. Burial will be in Allegheny Cemetery. (The Pittsburgh Press, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sun 15 Dec 1946)
