Gertrude M. Burgham, of the Leader East Nursing and Rehabilition Center, 200 Second Ave, Kingston, formerly of Nanticoke, died Tuesday evening Aug 26, 1986.
Born April 24, 1895, in Coleford, Gloucester County, England, she came to the Nanticoke area in 1923 and resided there until January 1986. Mrs Burgham was preceded in death by her husband, George Edwin in 1941. She was a member of St Georges Episcopal Church, Nanticoke.
Surviving are son, Sidney, New Port Richey, Fla; daughters, Mrs Arthur (Josie) Mitchell, Elkton, Md; Mrs Irvin (Irene) Ashton, Hunlock Creek; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs Florie Jay, Hemel Hempstead, England.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11.am from William E. Davies Funeral home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke with the Rev. Thomas Ferris, rector of St Petere and St Clements Church of Wilkes-Barre, officiating. Internment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call this evening from 7 to 9.
