Mrs Gordon Burgum - Services Thursday - Washburn - Furneral services for Mrs Gordon Burgum, 74, Washburn, will be held Thursday at 2.00pm from the Washburn Methodist Church, the Rev. J.G. Sortland officiating. Burial will be made in the Riverview Cemetery. Mrs Burgum died Sunday in a hospital in Bismarck. She had been ill for three years and entered hospital on Sunday. The Henne Funeral Home, Washburn, has charge of arrangements.
She was born Nov 1, 1890, at Armenia, a daughter of Mr and Mrs John Schur. She married Gordon Burgum at Arthur, Nov 16 1910, and they lived there until 1918, when they moved to Washburn, where they has since resided. Mrs Burgum was a member of the W.S.C.S. and Washburn Chapter 104 of the Order of the Eatern Star, of which she was pastmatron.
She is survived by her Husband, at home; two sons, John, Grand Forks, and James, Larimore; three daughters, Mrs Chester (Margaret) Plasterer, Mrs Kenyon (Marion) Stevens, and Mrs Raymond (Edith) Sheldon, all of Washburn; two brothers, John and Edward Schur, both of Arthur; three sisters, Mrs Alma Bettschen, Arthur, and Mrs Carl A. Johnson, and Mrs Mayme Viestenz, both od Seattle, and 13 grandchildren. Three brothers, one sister, one son, and one daughter preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Elmo Larson, Harold Whitlock, Lyle Luttrell, Richard Schmitt, R.G. Bickert and Rodney Slagg.
