William C. Burgm, 68, husband of Evelyn T. (McAuliffe) Burgum, died Auust 9, 1992, at home. He was born at Chicago Heights, Illinois, and lived in Rocky Hill for 22 years. He retired in 1980 from the DOT after 25 years service, and then worked for Buckley Associates, Nweington. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the VFW Post No. 2138.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons and daughter-in-law, William and Tammy Burgum Jr., both staioned in Frankfurt, Germany, with the US Air Force, Daniel and Ellen Burgum of Hartford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Caren and Kenneth Knowles of Presque Isle, Maine, and Lorie and Richard Castellani of Newington: a brother, Harry Burgum of Chicago height, Ill,; a sister, Barbara Homerding of Amarillo, Texas; and six grandchildren, Jason Knowles, Jennifer Knowles of Presque Isle, Maine, Richard Castellani, Ashley Castellani, bot of Newington, Michael Burgum and Caitlin Burgum, both of Hartford.
Funeral is Thursday Aug 13 1992, 9:30am, from the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10.00am in St James Church, Rocky Hill. Burial will be at Rose Hill Mem (The Hartford Courant, Hartford, Connecticut, Tuesday 11 Aug 1992)
