W. Charles Burgum, 58, electrician for Des Moines public schools for 22 years, died at his home, 2811 Thirty-eighth Street, Sunday night after a two-month illness. He had lived in Des Moines 34 years.
He was amember of the Auburn Masonic Royal Arch and the Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the E. Carl White Funeral Home.
Surviving are his wife, Etta; a daughter, Marjorie; a brother, Harry Burgum, of Chicago Heights, Illinois; and two sisters, Mrs Clara Shaw, Pittsburgh, Penn., and Mrs Nellie Rice, Cleveland, Ohio. (The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa, Monday 26 May 1941)
