Joyce Aevon (Burgum) Dunn died, age 74. She passed on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at St. Mary’s Regional Hospice, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She had breast and liver cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Jenness Luby, son-in-law, Charles Luby, and two grandsons, Daniel and Benjamin Luby. Her husband, Marion Wilson Dunn, predeceased her. (Mike?).
Joyce was born in Minot, ND, to Arthur C. and Edythe Harrington Burgum. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and also attended Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She worked for the U.S. Marine Corps for 16 years. Her husband was a Marine officer, possibly a pilot. She served on a National Disaster Team with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension. She belonged to the American Association of University Women. A private inurnment took place at New Bern National Cemetery, New Bern, North Carolina.
